Join me on my journey back into the classroom after a 20-year hiatus, where I combine my experience as a seasoned teacher with the renewed enthusiasm, energy and passion of a first-year teacher. I began my career teaching Pre-K 4 and Art in a private school setting, nurturing young minds through creativity and exploration. From there, I transitioned to teaching Kindergarten in public school, further honing my skills and deepening my love for early childhood education.

 

After a fulfilling decade in the classroom, I stepped away to focus on raising my own children. During this 20-year break, I leaned into my art background and built a successful graphic design and marketing business, blending creativity and strategy in new ways. As my children grew and became more independent, I felt the call to return to my first love—teaching. This time, I took a leap back into the classroom with Pre-K 3-year-olds, immersing myself in all things preschool to align with the needs of today’s classrooms, while embracing the unique joys and challenges of working with these young learners.

 

While teaching has definitely changed over the past two decades, my foundational beliefs remain unchanged: fostering a love of learning, building confidence in every child, and creating a positive, engaging environment where students are excited to come to school.

 

Designing creative lessons and units, not only to makes learning enjoyable for my students but, admittedly, I do it for my own fulfillment and enjoyment as well. Seeing their smiles, hearing their laughter, and witnessing their growth ignites the passion in me and makes every day in the classroom rewarding.

 

I aim to share these resources to simplify planning and reduce prep time for my colleagues. By providing tools and ideas that spark joy in the classroom, I hope to strengthen or reignite other educators’ passion for teaching and help them create memorable, engaging experiences for their students.
